It was a genuinely halfway decent little card
The fan started making some heinous noises. I guess running 24/7 for four months wasn’t good for the bearing
Don’t have another SFF card on hand and I just spent my discretionary cash on a new card for my main rig so I guess I’m not folding for a bit.

Bummer dude. TBH most bearings prefer to just run consistently but it could have lost lubricant and failed prematurely.
The 1030gt I picked up a few months back i s passive, you might consider trying to find a heat sink and convert yours or just replace the fan.

Looks like maybe a 2" 3-wire fan. https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?d=2%22+fan&N=600035572%20100007998 Easy enough to replace. Or add a case fan and take this one out for airflow? If the card is ok, this is fixable.

Warranty?

This is why I bought a passively cooled 1030. Then they sent me one with a fan anyway...

You check to see if it’s under warranty? Also you could always just ziptie a case fan to it.

If there is enough spac e on the case, i would definitely go for a bigger one tha t would go over the whole radiator like a 8cm from an old PSU or CPU cooler and run it at 5v for simplicity and relative silence.
